remarks. Despite claims of being “the tallest lighthouse in the world”, its status as the tallest, and if it is even a lighthouse, is open for debate. Apparently, there is a couple of other navigational light-bearing structures that are taller, and although it carried navigational lights, it was not built with the sole intent of being a lighthouse.
