remarks. Oyama Jinja is a Shinto shrine. The main gate to the shrine, originally at the entrance of Kanazawa Castle, is an architecturally-distinct structure, composed of 3 levels and topped by a lighting rod. The third level has Dutch-syled stained-glass windows (1) and was reportedly a relocated lighthouse (2) or used as one on-site (3).
note. Japanese for lighthouse: 灯台 (tōdai)
